Wisconsin DOJ Identifies Homicide Suspect Fatally Shot by Marinette Police

TOWN OF PESHTIGO, WISCONSIN — The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) has identified the man fatally shot by Marinette police officers after a high-speed pursuit on August 29 as Andrew Lloyd Collamore, 23, a suspect in a Dane County homicide investigation.

According to officials, the incident began around 9:12 a.m. when Marinette police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of one tied to the Dane County case. The driver fled, prompting a pursuit along US-41 that ended in a crash near the intersection of US-41 and Schacht Road.

Confrontation After Pursuit

Authorities said Collamore exited the vehicle and approached officers. Initial attempts to subdue him included the use of a taser, which proved ineffective.

The DOJ reported that two Marinette officers then fired their weapons, striking Collamore. A sharp-edged weapon was recovered at the scene.

The officers involved were identified as Officer Parker J. De Los Santos, with seven years of law enforcement service, and Officer Andrew D. Bonjean, a 19-year veteran. Both officers have been placed on administrative duty, in accordance with policy.

Ongoing Investigation

The DOJ’s Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is leading the inquiry, with support from the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Wisconsin Statewide Intelligence Center.

Officials confirmed that all agencies involved are fully cooperating. Once complete, the investigative report will be forwarded to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office for review.

Community Response and Safety

The shooting has drawn attention in Marinette County, as residents await further details on both the Dane County homicide case and the events leading to Collamore’s death. Law enforcement leaders have emphasized that the investigation remains active and that transparency will be maintained as findings are reviewed.
