Susie Blue and The Lonesome Fellas-How Could I Help But Love You

Susie Blue and the Lonesome Fellas just released a sultry new video “How Could I Help but Love You” featuring harmonica virtuoso Howard Levy, from their new release BLUE TRAIN

This classic tune was written by Allen Toussaint for Aaron Neville in 1962 and is a Nawlins-style jazzy Tango. The band’s new arrangement features an intricate harmonica solo by Levy, who is a master at Tango and Latin styles, which he incorporates into his intricate phrasing. Two ardent ballet dancers move alluringly through the entire video, expressing the unpretentious yearning that the song’s lyrics bring to mind.

Blue Train has been riding the TOP TEN on several charts including the RMR Jazz Albums, RMR Contemporary Jazz, and the NACC Top 10 for Jazz, as well as the AWA chart for July and August, and has just been submitted for Grammy Consideration.

“Chicago-land icon Howard Levy (an original member of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones) sprinkles additional spice to the mix while Miles’ bluesy and laid-back delivery on “How Could I Help But Love You” creates imagery which is clear and highly entertaining.” – Preston Frazier, Something Else Reviews

“This simply beautiful, free flowing and decadent new album features the low light, late night club fare of the harmonica-driven “How Could I Help but Love You” – Anne Carlini

“How Could I Help But Love You” is delivered as a duet with the harmonica, and it is that work on harmonica that makes this rendition something special.” – Michael’s Music Blog
