Starting off their set with “Your Loves Whore” off their 2015 release, “My Love is Cool” Wolf Alice quickly sett the tone and warmed Chicago up for forty minutes London-based alternative masterpieces. Their sound was a nice blend of melodic rock that flared out into wild and polarized moments of heavy, razor sharp intensity, with phase effects on their guitars, bits of feedback and enough energy to power all of Lollapalooza itself that the crowd fed off of and returned back to the band. There were a lot of die hard fans grouped together, mostly female, jumping up and down, singing along and thoroughly enjoying the set.

Some fan favorites were “You’re a Germ”, “Moaning Lisa Smile” and “Bros” to name a few and to Cap off their performance, singer Ellie Rowsell approached the barricades inviting the fans to sing along to “Moaning Lisa Smile” and then she proceeded to dive into the audience and crowd surf. Bassist, Theo Ellis stated on stage that they’re not expecting to be back to the US for a while, so hopefully this electrifying performance will hold off their fans until their glorious return.
