Bob E. Lee

“Pieces of Blues”
By: Clyde Richardson

Bob E. Lee has been around the southside Blues circuit for many years. He’s played the local bars, pubs…you name it! Bob has come out with a new cd available on www.cdbaby.com and it is, in my opinion, some of his best work to date.

He’s got everything on there from the standard Chicago-style Blues to Cajun and it’s all good. I particularly enjoyed the number 5 track, Blues By The Numbers. There’s some good slide work and the addition of Sax was an excellent touch.

Bob E. Lee put himself in some good company with Chuck Sierra on guitar, dobro and slide, Dennis Sindberg on Sax, keys and flute (that’s right…flute on a blues album), Al Brown on Bass and Steve Collier on Drums and misc. Percussion.

So, do yourself a favor and go listen to his clips at www.cdbaby.com and buy his cd, you’ll be glad you did. You can also visit his website by going to www.bobeleebluesband.bravehost.com. And as always, don’t forget to support local music.
