VEGGIE FEST CHICAGO 2010 EXPECTED TO DRAW 20,000 TO NAPERVILLE IL THIS SUMMER

Mark your calendar for one of the most exciting Chicagoland events of the summer. VeggieFest 2010 is putting Naperville on the map again this year the weekend of August 7 and 8.

VeggieFest is a huge food event, it's a music festival, a kid's fantasy, a family party. You name it, VeggieFest has it. Chicago's top vegetarian restaurants, food demos, medical research on diet and nutrition, lifestyle programs − and did we say food? Mexican, Indian, Thai, Chinese, TexMex, Italian, burgers and hotdogs, smoothies and juices. And don't forget the live music − reggae, pop, folk, country and classic oldies. Back again will be talks by national known professionals on medical research, healthy living, and classes on one of the most important topic of the 21st century − meditation. All this with free admission!

Naperville mayor George Pradal cut the ribbon at Veggie Fest to kick off the event last year. On the hottest weekend of the summer, 17,000 people came out to join the fun, and it never felt crowded. Featuring well over 100 vendor booths, Veggie Fest expects 20,000 people this summer, making it the largest free vegetarian food festival in the country.

Heard as feedback: "I never knew vegetarian food could be this good. . . I had to pry my kids away from the children's area. . . fabulous food court." And from the nationally known Chicago Diner: "We sincerely enjoyed our excursion to Veggie Fest. . .The Chicago Diner cooking class had standing room only."

It's all happening again this summer. Catch the excitement at www.veggiefestchicago.org. Get set for the party. See you in August.
