“RAIN OR SHINE,” O.A.R. SET TO RELEASE LIVE 4-DISC SET JANUARY 12TH

January 4, 2010 – Everfine/Atlantic recording group O.A.R. are set to release a live 4-disc set entitled Rain or Shine on January 12th. Recorded this past June, over two nights at Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion @ Northerly Island, Rain or Shine contains 37 tracks and over four hours of music with both electric and acoustic versions of O.A.R. favorites “Shattered” and “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker.” Also included are two previously unreleased tracks, “Tonight,” the first song the band ever wrote, as well as “Rhythm of your Shoes.”

Chicago was the first major city we ever played. The fans there have been supporting us since the early days of our career so it made sense to record Rain or Shine during those shows,” said Richard On. “This album puts the listener right in the middle of our two nights in Chicago and ultimately the most intense live release yet because of the crowd,” added Marc Roberge.

O.A.R.’s fourth live album, Rain or Shine, was a unique recording experience as it marks the first time that the band has released a live CD recorded at an outdoor venue as well as the first time the band has captured their live acoustic songs on an album. Due to inclement weather the album almost didn’t come to pass. But O.A.R., who are known for their electrifying live show, proved once again why they are fan favorites and made the second show at Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion @ Northerly Island happen, Rain or Shine. As a special bonus, the recording includes a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Fool in the Rain” with guest musician Robert Randolph.
