Bags Tournament to benefit local charity
Proceeds to provide school supplies to foster youth in Chicago
CHICAGO (Aug. 17, 2009)—The Auxiliary Board of Youth Outreach Services (YOS) invites individuals to join in a friendly competition in support of foster youth in Chicago with proceeds funding backpacks and the school supplies they need to achieve success this coming school year!
During the Second Annual Bags Tournament, scheduled for Aug. 22 from 3-6 p.m., individuals will participate in a bracket-based bean bag competition while enjoying complimentary pizza and an open bar of domestic beer and well drinks. The tournament’s winning team will even walk away with 4 tickets to the Sept. 20 Chicago White Sox vs. the Kansas City Royals game, lower level - right field near first base!
Guests can also participate in a raffle, prizes including:
  • Dinner cruise for 2 on The Odyssey ($200 value)
  • $150 certificate to 10pin Bowling Lounge
  • Allyu Spa gift certificates
  • Free hair cut at Salon Blond ($75 value)
  • 2 Cubs tickets to the Sept. 15 game vs. the Milwaukee Brewers; Ernie Banks memorabilia
  • Wine tasting for 2 at Webster’s Wine Bar ($60 value)
  • $50 certificate to Carnivale
  • Color print from Chicago architectural photographer Mark Ballogg
Participation requires a $30 donation in advance, $35 at the door. Guests are also invited to donate school supplies at the event, such as pencils, pens, notebooks and backpacks.
