THE NEW JACKSON BROWNE SONG “HERE” TO DEBUT IN SHRINK, A FEATURE FILM FROM
ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS STARRING ACADEMY AWARD® WINNER KEVIN SPACEY

Los Angeles, CA, July 28, 2009: “Here,” a new original song by legendary singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, will officially debut on July 24, 2009 with the release of the motion picture Shrink, starring Academy Award® winning actor Kevin Spacey. As dramatic punctuation, “Here” runs over the end title credits, beginning when the screen goes dark at the narrative’s conclusion. Following limited release in select theatres in New York and Los Angeles, Shrink—from Roadside Attractions— opened in Limited release in NY and Los Angeles on July 24, 2009 and will expand to 12 major cities on July 31st, 2009.

Jackson Browne is regularly cited as contemporary music’s quintessential confessional singer-songwriter, making his contribution to Shrink an ideal fit. Talking about “Here,” Browne said, “The song is really about trying to be here in the present, even if you don’t really care for the present—even if you’re kind of locked up in the past.”

Directed by Jonas Pate (Deceiver) and written by Thomas Moffett, the film centers on Spacey as pot-smoking “shrink-to-the-stars” Henry Carter, the connecting point between what Variety called, “an impressive cast playing an asylum’s worth of disturbed Hollywood types.” Personal tragedy and a challenging pro bono case has Carter spinning off-balance and losing control, both in his own life and in relation to his A-list clientele.
Shrink premiered in January 2009 at Sundance; the festival’s write-up said, “Performed by a well-matched cast at the top of their form, the result is both satisfying and exhilarating. Watching Shrink makes us feel like voyeurs looking through a window into the lives of people who look great, feel worse, and end up behaving badly.” In addition to Spacey, the cast features Saffron Burrows, Jack Huston, Robert Loggia, Keke Palmer and Dallas Roberts, among others.

Jackson Browne signed on to compose the closing song for Shrink after seeing a cut of the film following its Sundance premiere. Written on the road, “Here” was recorded in early 2009 during a break from Browne’s world tour in support of his 2008 album Time The Conqueror. The album is out on the artist’s own independent label Inside Recordings, and was produced by Browne and Paul Dieter.

Since kicking off in the U.S. in September 2008, the Time The Conqueror World Tour has encompassed legs in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K. and Europe. Currently, Browne is in the middle of a two-month summer 2009 North American itinerary, which will conclude the tour. Also in ’09, Browne and his band were featured as the summer season opener for PBS Television’s nationally syndicated program Soundstage, which noted, “Rock’s poet laureate Jackson Browne delivers a remarkable performance featuring tracks from his latest recording…as well as hits from his previous 11 studio albums.”

Since his acclaimed 1972 self-titled debut album, Jackson Browne has defined a genre of songwriting and performing that is charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. Two of his albums, Late For the Sky and The Pretender, are on Rolling Stone’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” He’s been recognized with inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2004) and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame (2007), with recent humanitarian honors including the John Steinbeck Award and the Chapin-World Hunger Year Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award. www.jacksonbrowne.com

BACKSTREET BOYS GEAR UP FOR
NEW ALBUM, THIS IS US

SET FOR AN OCTOBER 6TH RELEASE

Backstreet Boys are very proud to announce the release of their new album, THIS IS US. Set for an October 6th release on Jive Records, THIS IS US is the seventh studio album from this groundbreaking and chart topping group that redefined the modern musical landscape, ushering in a chapter of pop culture that commandeered the world's radio airwaves, broke music and concert sales records, and launched a new generation of teen idols. Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and AJ McLean collaborated with a powerhouse suite of producers and songwriters on THIS IS US that included T-Pain, Max Martin, RedOne, Soulshock and Karlin, Jim Jonsin and Claude Kelly. The end result is an indelible and finely crafted R&B and pop album from four talented musicians who love what they do and who maintain the rare relevance in an industry that often disposes of pop acts.

The 11 songs that make up THIS IS US are the sounds of four skilled singers with a similar vision, who have dealt with the trials and tribulations that accompany fame at an early age and who came out as one of the most successful groups of all time. From the undeniable dance floor ready lead single, "Straight Through My Heart" (click on link to stream) to the reflective soar of "Bigger," from the hook crazy "Bye Bye Love" to the romantic yearning of "She's A Dream," THIS IS US shows remarkable growth as songwriters and continues to give us songs that has made millions smile.

"We're really excited to release this new album and know that our fans are excited too. We worked with a group of amazing artists and producers that we've never worked with before, exploring new sounds and territory and know the final product turned out incredible" says Carter.

Backstreet Boys plan on spending the second half of 2009 and all of 2010 on the road. A European tour has already been announced and a full North American headlining tour will be announced shortly. Tour dates can be found on the group's official website www.backstreetboys.com.

Over the last 12 years, the Backstreet Boys have sold more than 76 million albums worldwide, have scored a dozen Top 40 hits and charted in the Top Ten in nearly every country making them one of the most successful groups of all time.

SOUTHERN VOICE, MEGASTAR TIM MCGRAW'S
FIRST STUDIO ALBUM IN TWO AND A HALF YEARS, SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 20TH RELEASE

Lead Single "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You"
Goes On Sale Today At All Digital Retailers

On October 20th, Curb Records will release Southern Voice, Tim McGraw's first studio album in two and a half years. (See below for track listing.) Lead single "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You" is available now at all digital retailers. An up-tempo, tongue-in-cheek tale about the price paid for loving a woman who loves designer labels, the song was penned by Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and singer-songwriter Brett James. "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You" was #1 Most Added in its first and second weeks at radio and is already 15* on the Billboard Country Singles chart.

With the new album, McGraw once again pushes the bounds of his artistry with characteristic honesty, grit and soul - qualities that have, throughout history, exemplified the Southern voice. Recorded in Nashville with his longtime producer, Byron Gallimore (Faith Hill, Sugarland, Phil Vassar), it is the follow-up to Let It Go, which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 in April of 2007. McGraw will support Southern Voice with an extensive tour in 2010.

McGraw has sold over 40 million units and dominated the charts with 30 #1 singles. He's won three GRAMMY®s, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, 10 American Music Awards, three People's Choice Awards and numerous other awards. His concert tours consistently rank at #1 and he and wife Faith Hill hold the record for the best selling consecutive multi-year tour in North America in country music history for their "Soul2Soul Tour" outings in 2006 and 2007.

His multi-faceted career also encompasses film, television and books. McGraw launched an impressive acting career with 2004's "Friday Night Lights," which he followed with "Flicka" (2006), "The Kingdom" (2007) and "Four Christmases" (2008). Whether he's singing classics like "Don't Take the Girl," "Indian Outlaw" and "Live Like You Were Dying" or portraying the troubled father in "Friday Night Lights," it is McGraw's credibility and his knack for connecting with audiences that have made his hard-won triumphs possible. He co-stars with Sandra Bullock in the upcoming film "The Blind Side," scheduled for release on November 20, 2009.

WAKING UP AT NO. 1...AGAIN

'WAKING UP IN VEGAS'

IS THIRD NO. 1 FOR KATY PERRY

PLATINUM- PLUS 'ONE OF THE BOYS' ALBUM

BOOMS INTO YEAR TWO

FOUR HIT SINGLES, WITH OVER 9 MILLION SOLD, DEEP

(July 27, 2009, New York, NY) – What wakes up in Vegas...couldn't possibly remain a secret, if it has anything to do with KATY PERRY, the Capitol Records multi-platinum singer-songwriter who has completely captured the fun, the rhythm, the smarts, the look and the sound of our times in her smash debut album ONE OF THE BOYS.

WAKING UP IN VEGAS, the fourth hit single from the album, is this week's No. 1 most-played record on the mainstream top 40 pop radio stations across the country, an extraordinary feat of late-game staying power for Perry, whose story began, amazingly, a full fourteen months ago with the official release of Katy’s first worldwide No. 1 hit, "I Kissed a Girl." With the album's second single, "Hot N Cold," also a No. 1 in the format, Perry is only the fourth artist in the history of Billboard's mainstream top 40 airplay chart to have scored three No. 1s from a debut album: Katy joins Ace of Base, Avril Lavigne and Lady GaGa in this accomplishment.

The public enthusiasm for Perry, her music -- and, honestly, everything about her, has continued unabated since her sensational arrival and top 10 album debut: last week, Katy appeared on the popular Rockefeller Center concert series of NBC's Today show, and on August 8th will fill in as solo host, fittingly, on her pal Ryan Seacrest's "American Top 40" weekly radio countdown show.

Perry has also completed taping an episode of MTV's signature Unplugged series for cablecast this year, and shot a special in-studio performance for Clear Channel Radio's online Stripped feature. And she continues to dominate the magazine covers of 2009, most recently Billboard, Paper, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan and Complex. Also in the upper reaches of the national pop chart, Perry is the co-writer of Kelly Clarkson's current single, "I Do Not Hook Up," from the No. 1 album, All I Ever Wanted.

WAKING UP IN VEGAS was co-written by Perry with veteran hitmakers Andreas Carlsson and Desmond Child. The track was produced by Greg Wells. Grammy and MTV Video Music Award winner Joseph Kahn directed the video clip, filmed in a two-day Las Vegas shoot co-starring Joel David Moore (Bones, House, Avatar, Grandma’s Boy).

Katy’s first two single releases, the seven-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 "I Kissed a Girl" and the No. 1 mainstream top 40 radio hit "Hot N Cold," are RIAA-certified for triple-platinum sales. ONE OF THE BOYS also includes the #1 VH1 Countdown ballad hit "Thinking of You" and the pre-album online video blockbuster of late 2007, "Ur So Gay." Katy Perry is a Brit Award and MTV Europe Music Award winner, and is also a Grammy Award, MTV Video Music Award and Teen Choice Award nominee. Katy has played 150 shows around the world since she joined the Van’s Warped Tour on June 20, 2008, including 55 sold-out headlining "Hello Katy" concerts.
