SOUTHERN VOICE, MEGASTAR TIM MCGRAW'S
FIRST STUDIO ALBUM IN TWO AND A HALF YEARS, SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 20TH RELEASE
Lead Single "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You"
Goes On Sale Today At All Digital Retailers
On October 20th, Curb Records will release Southern Voice, Tim McGraw's first studio album in two and a half years. (See below for track listing.) Lead single "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You" is available now at all digital retailers. An up-tempo, tongue-in-cheek tale about the price paid for loving a woman who loves designer labels, the song was penned by Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and singer-songwriter Brett James. "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You" was #1 Most Added in its first and second weeks at radio and is already 15* on the Billboard Country Singles chart.
With the new album, McGraw once again pushes the bounds of his artistry with characteristic honesty, grit and soul - qualities that have, throughout history, exemplified the Southern voice. Recorded in Nashville with his longtime producer, Byron Gallimore (Faith Hill, Sugarland, Phil Vassar), it is the follow-up to Let It Go, which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 in April of 2007. McGraw will support Southern Voice with an extensive tour in 2010.
McGraw has sold over 40 million units and dominated the charts with 30 #1 singles. He's won three GRAMMY®s, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, 10 American Music Awards, three People's Choice Awards and numerous other awards. His concert tours consistently rank at #1 and he and wife Faith Hill hold the record for the best selling consecutive multi-year tour in North America in country music history for their "Soul2Soul Tour" outings in 2006 and 2007.
His multi-faceted career also encompasses film, television and books. McGraw launched an impressive acting career with 2004's "Friday Night Lights," which he followed with "Flicka" (2006), "The Kingdom" (2007) and "Four Christmases" (2008). Whether he's singing classics like "Don't Take the Girl," "Indian Outlaw" and "Live Like You Were Dying" or portraying the troubled father in "Friday Night Lights," it is McGraw's credibility and his knack for connecting with audiences that have made his hard-won triumphs possible. He co-stars with Sandra Bullock in the upcoming film "The Blind Side," scheduled for release on November 20, 2009.
