DISTURBED’S “INSIDE THE FIRE” IS LONGEST-RUNNING NUMBER ONE ACTIVE ROCK TRACK IN MEDIABASE CHART HISTORY
LEAD-OFF SINGLE FROM NEW ALBUM INDESTRUCTIBLE HAS BEEN NUMBER ONE FOR 14 WEEKS
August 11, 2008 — Burbank, CA — Multi-platinum hard-rock band Disturbed have set a record for the longest running Number One track in the history of Mediabase’s Active Rock chart with “Inside the Fire,” the lead-off single from their gold-certified album Indestructible. The track was Number One for 14 weeks at Active Rock Radio and also Number One on the BDS/Billboard Active Rock Radio chart for 15 weeks.
“Inside the Fire,” which was released digitally on March 25th, is Disturbed’s sixth Number One single at Active Rock, and the band’s fastest-rising chart-topper to date. The band’s previous Number One Active Rock singles are “Down With The Sickness,” “Prayer,” “Liberate,” “Stricken,” and “Land of Confusion.” The second single from Indestructible, the title track, hits radio this week.
Certified gold by the R.I.A.A., the self-produced Indestructible debuted at Number One on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart and remained in the Top 10 for five weeks and is still in the Top 20 after its June 3rd release. Indestructible is the band’s third consecutive Number One album, following their platinum-sellers Believe (2002) and Ten Thousand Fists (2005), making Disturbed one of only six rock bands in history to score three consecutive Number One debuts with studio albums. Disturbed’s 2000 debut album, The Sickness, has been certified triple-platinum by the R.I.A.A. with sales closing in on four million. Formed in Chicago in 1996, Disturbed have sold a collective 10 million albums worldwide.
Disturbed is currently on the road co-headlining this summer’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival Tour through August 19th, before heading overseas to tour Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe through the end of the October.

Heavy Water Experiments Releases Self-Titled Album
Critically Acclaimed Duo Formerly Known As “Imogene”
July 30th, 2008, Los Angeles, CA – Formerly known as Imogene, LA-based Heavy Water Experiments, have just released their debut CD – aptly entitled, “Heavy Water Experiments.”
HWE Founder David Melbye said this about the group’s sound and originality, ” Rather than simply reviving a particular decade, HWE is a band that challenges the parameters of popular modern rock with the use of unusual instruments such as the 8-string bass as well as attempting a broader range of material from heavier acid rock feels to mellower melodic approaches.”
So far, HWE has enjoyed a laudable degree of progress while still remaining independent. To date, the band has toured the US and the UK (twice) as well as performing a handful of shows in Holland and Belgium. They have received some great reviews in the process.
“…Worth checking out! Heavy, emotional and melodic…exquisite and gorgeous electric piano melodies and amazing vocals…The production is superb…the rhythm group creates a hypnotic feel and the harmonious vocals work extremely well too. I really like the singer’s voice! This is an excellent album in every way… this band could really make it in the indie market…”-- Psychotropic Zone (www.unimeri.com/PsychotropicZone/index.html) – November 2007
“While the band has quite an experimental side, they also have an accessible side…in a perfect world, they would get heavy rotation on radio and video stations…equal parts art, pop, prog, psych, and alternative…” -- Prognaut (www.geocities.com/prognaut) – February 2008
For more information you can visit the group at heavywaterexperiments.com or at their myspace site (myspace.com/heavywaterexeperiments). Legitimate media representatives can get a review copy of the CD (or set up interviews, etc.) by emailing Gary Hill at pr@musicstreetjournal.com.

Chicago, IL August 6, 2008
Andrea Vangna Custom Clothiers announces its new store in the Chicago “Loop” at 306 S. Dearborn / 53 W. Jackson in the historic Monadnock Building.
Andrea Vangna is an expanding custom clothier with locations in Chicago, Los Angeles, Seoul Korea and throughout Oceania and Asia. John Park, owner and CEO of the Chicago stores, saw a need to expand the offerings of the first Andrea Vangna location at 3341 N. Broadway in Lakeview to reach out to a different market within Chicago’s business district. Along with currently providing men’s fashions and accessories, Andrea Vangna will be entering the women’s custom apparel market this fall.
Andrea Vangna creates custom suits, shirts, slacks, sport-jackets, formalwear and overcoats for its clientele with an emphasis on customer service and fashion consultation. Working with local, national and international vendors Andrea Vangna offers a wide range of shirt and suit fabrics. The suits are offered in several lines, each at varying price points including: designer fabrics, 100% natural fibers with blends of wool such as wool/silk or wool/cashmere, linen, as well as wool and micro-fiber blends. Andrea Vangna has many options from solids in a variety of colors, to the traditional suit and shirt patterns of Glen-plaids and tartans, birdseye and pinheads, pinstripes, chalk-stripes, and more.
Andrea Vangna’s focus on craftsmanship is evident by their use of experienced tailors who create fully canvassed suits as part of the high quality construction in all of the custom garments produced. The hand tailored garments offer detailing and individuality unlike any clothing purchased “off the rack,” The comprehensive measuring, fitting, and style consultation process ensures creation of a unique garment that fits appropriately and will wear better throughout the years.
Chicago has been known as the Midwest’s destination for food, art, music, entertainment and fashion. John Park believes that he adds to Chicago’s credentials as a style mecca by providing its residents with custom made garments comparable to those in New York, Milan and Savile Row at affordable prices. The innovative supply chain and economies of scale allows for a competitive advantage where the production costs are reduced and savings are passed onto the consumer.
“The trend towards custom suits has returned, as consumers demand better fitting suits and clothing that fits their personality and lifestyle without being out of reach,” says John Park.

Treologic Set To Release Latest CD This Fall
Colabo Will Be Available on October 21st
July 30th, 2008, Chicago, Illinois – Critically acclaimed hip hop act Treologic is releasing their latest CD Colabo on October 21st. The album is distributed by EV Records and will be available for download at iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon.com and elsewhere around the web. The physical CD will be available at various retail outlets – if your local store doesn’t stock it, ask them to order it for you.
Treologic keyboardist Lance Loiselle says that Colabo has a harder sound and more traditional hip hop production than their three previous releases – which were more eclectic in their mix of musical elements. Those predecessors were What’s the Question (2003), MixTape (2004) and Thank You Lenny (2005),
The message of the music has always been heavily infused with a street sensibility. Creating music with hard beats, jazzy flavors, chops with simplicity, Treologic is always keeping a lyrical flow that is reminiscent of Jay-Z, Nas, or Black Thought.
Loiselle says that the group is unique in the music world because of the path that each of the members took to get there – and the musical influences that they bring to the party. You get jazz in the organ and keys, gospel in the drums and bass, rock in the jam guitar. Add in a hip hop DJ and an MC who is studied in his craft and serve with a real message that even a casual hip hop listener can relate to with out watering down the methodology and you have the recipe for Treologic. Loiselle says, “We’re influenced by everything, but sound like no one else.”
You don’t have to take his word for it, though. The group has been featured in a number of magazines (including the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times and Billboard) and online publications. They were the winners of the grand prize in DiscMaker’s 2005 Midwest Independent World Series.
For more information you can check out Treologic on the web at treologicmusic.com, sonicbids.com/treologic and myspace.com/treologic. Legitimate media representatives can get a review copy of the CD by emailing Gary Hill at pr@musicstreetjournal.com. Use the same email address to set up interviews, show passes or get any other information you need for features.

CANCEL OUT CANCER AT METRO AUGUST 31
Sunday, August 31, 2008
Metro joins with Treaty of Paris in presenting Cancel Out Cancer: A Benefit for The American Brain Tumor Association. Chicago’s own Treaty of Paris will headline, and Quietdrive, Company of Thieves, House of Heroes and Scott Sweeny will also play. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 day of show. The show is all ages and starts at 6pm.
Treaty of Paris hit the ground running in January 2005, recording demos and playing to sold-out crowds at Schuba’s, Double Door, Metro, and other Chicago and Midwest venues with bands such as Jacks Mannequin, Motion City Soundtrack, Augustana, Cartel, The Spill Canvas, The New Amsterdams, Local H, Sum 41, Rise Against, Lucky Boys Confusion, Lovedrug among others. When not onstage in front of awestruck audiences, the quintet spent time sharpening their songwriting skills, and by March had penned 20 complete songs, 6 of which were recorded for their Behind Our Calm Demeanors EP. The disc showcased Treaty Of Paris' love affair with anthemic, poppy songs and compact arrangements. A self-booked fall tour of the Midwest and east coast followed, and record labels began taking notice of their exponentially growing fan base. In early 2007 the Demeanors EP and a handful of newly recorded acoustic demos were delivered to Jack’s Mannequin/Something Corporate front man Andrew McMahon. Having recently started the imprint ATR (Airport Tapes and Records), he’d finally found what he’d been looking for: a band with fantastic songs and the work ethic necessary to build a grassroots following in today’s cutthroat indie scene. Their full-length debut, Sweet Dreams, Sucker, is a turbine-powered album that introduces Treaty Of Paris as a band that pens smart, taut arrangements catchy enough to make even the most tone-deaf sing along. The record is everything you’d expect from a band that cites influences ranging from the Beach Boys and Weezer to Jimmy Eat World and Queen: raw-nerved, pop-savvy and filled with one sumptuous hook after another.
Phil Kosch, guitarist for Treaty of Paris, conceived Cancel Out Cancer after the death of his father, Fred Kosch, of a brain tumor earlier this year. His bandmates, several of whom also had watched family members battle cancer, were immediately supportive of Phil’s idea. A longtime music fan who spent many nights watching the band from Metro’s balcony, Fred Kosch had a large part in the band’s very existence, setting in motion the chain of events that would lead to Treaty of Paris’ founding by encouraging his son to move to the city and try to form a band. “He was the first one to get to the show, and the first person to tell all our family members and friends about the concerts I would perform. It was actually him that helped me develop my dreams of being in the music industry,” says Phil. “Now Treaty of Paris has the honor of touring the world, and headlining great venues in Chicago. So without my dad's support I truly believe my life would be completely different and I probably would not be as happy.”
During Fred Kosch’s illness, his family leaned heavily on the American Brain Tumor Association for support and information. “New procedures are being developed, such as a scorpion venom treatment,” says Phil. “I am hoping this event helps raise more money to obtain the ultimate goal and find a cure for cancer.”
