For Immediate Release:

PARAMOUNT STYLES ANNOUNCE FIRST EVER NORTH AMERICAN DATES!
Kicking off October 10th in Brooklyn, NY

DEBUT ALBUM – FAILURE AMERICAN STYLE – OUT NOW VIA TOUCH & GO
First Solo Release for Girls Against Boys Frontman/Guitarist Scott McCloud

New York, NY – Paramount Styles announce their first ever North American dates, kicking off October 10th at Union Pool in Brooklyn, NY. The new solo project from Scott McCloud, singer/guitarist for critically-acclaimed post-punks Girls Against Boys, will hit established venues including the Middle East in Cambridge and the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto before wrapping up in NYC at Lit Lounge. These six special shows mark the first time that music off of the debut album Failure American Style will be played to audiences in the U.S. and Canada, following its release earlier this summer via Touch & Go.

“Failure American Style dials down Girls Against Boys’ cosmopolitan cool and New Wet Kojak’s self-consciousness for something intrinsically personal…” – Alternative Press

Following a successful and well-received European tour, these dates will feature Alexis Fleisig on drums (from Girls Against Boys), Simon Lenski on cello (from experimental classical group DAAU -Die Anarchistische Abendunterhaltung, out of Antwerp, Belgium), Chris Smet on second guitar (also from Antwerp, Belgium), and Geoff Sanoff on bass/keyboards (Producer/Engineer -Paramount Styles record, has also worked with The Secret Machines, Television, and Fountains of Wayne; former bass player of the band Edsel).

Failure American Style shows a songwriter coming into his own maturity; an eclectic mix of rock, moody ambiance and yes, a style.
