The mission of the Chicago Music Guide is to provide quality information that is relevant and timely with a focus on the music industry, both international, national and indie based. Empowering music consumers as well as industry people, artists and other companies with this information that is relevant to the music industry.

Chicago Music Guide offers direct consulting and guidance to artists through our links pages, message board, newsletter and direct contact to our Chicago Music Guide staff.

Chicago Music Guide was founded in 2004 and started from the simple desire to help friends, but with Chicago's vast array of great talent, the site grew quickly from there. Now with a talented staff of writers and photographers, the Chicago Music Guide can meet the needs of our hungry city.

A number of the staff members of the Chicago Music Guide is either currently a musician themselves or used to be a musician at one time. We have the insider’s perspective on what musicians would need and want to see and we strive hard to give it to them.

Chicago Music Guide is dedicated to working with all entities of the music and entertainment industry, such as record companies and their publicists, radio stations, promotional companies, management companies, booking agents, artists and others.

NON-PROFIT
In addition to working with the music industry and artists, Chicago Music Guide works with the community in Chicago with non-profit organizations on music related events. We feel this is important to the integrality of the webzine that we have a charity base component that helps others.

In 2005, disaster struck in Asia and Chicago Music Guide responded by holding two benefit concerts and in turn donating the money to the CARE organization. We are pleased to report that we raised $3,000.00+ to aid in their relief.

SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
Chicago Music Guide sponsors concerts and events to help already established artists or help get a new indie artist started. We plan to implement these music events at various clubs and festivals. It is also a way for us to promote the Chicago Music Guide, work with others and reach our target readers on a personal level.
